Just a heads up. The reporter for UD/Rustin game got some names mixed up. Kevin White did not have any catches and Tim Spain did not have any rushes.
These names were left out or mixed up:
DeAndre Pendregrass 3-30 Rec 1-46 Rush
Chriss Rossiter 1-5 Rec
Mohammed Barry 1-8 Rec
Cyrus Barlee 1-25 Rec
Hope this helps. I know the stats are not up yet but didnt want these kids to be left out because of confusion with names and numbers.
Thanks! I’ll make the fixes.
the RB for Radnor that has 235 yards is Jimmie Blake
Our mistake. Sorry! We had Tim Wilson” in our template from last year.
Ridley QB Ed Hild had 3 tds passing in week 1 vs Glen Mills
Rentos correct stats are 17 – 39. 2 int. 333 tot. Byrd’s. 3 tds. His stats are listed twice
Whoops, I forgot to overwrite last week’s numbers.
Interceptions – Week 1 -Broach (Penn Wood) 1 & Ringgold (Penn Wood) 1
Can someone please tell why Sun Valley players are never noticed in the players of the week. I know they play in a league outside of the delco but so do the some other schools also…
Sun Valley is not represented at the meetings. That’s been the case since Sun Valley moved to the Ches-Mont.
The players of the week are determined by the coaches. In this case, Sun Valley would be considered an Independent along with the Inter-Ac and Catholics.
I’ve told Coach Grugan to come out for the meetings, but to no avail.
Does anyone know anything about Blake or Galloway from Radnor? The two games i saw of radnor those two looked like big time players….
I saw them on Friday. Blake is an undersized RB, but shifty. Very difficult to bring down in open space
Galloway is a tall kid, a little awkward times, but very athletic. He has four INTs and is Radnor’s top WR. Both of those guys stand out (along with OL Mike Staples and QB Ellis Schaefer) on a team that is a little short in overall talent.
No big deal, but there were two minor mistakes in the box score for the Interboro-Penn Charter game from last week. There were a bunch of yards for the Bucs credited to “Anderson” that I believe should have said Armstrong and two catches for Interboro credited to “Neefe” which was the name of #5 for Penn Charter. I think they probably should have been given to “Allen” who wears #5 for the Bucs.
Thank you. I realized the Anderson/Armstrong mistake right away, but had no idea who Neefe was. Thanks for the heads up.
.for your stats for week 4 .rob murphy has 9 td 2 interboro 2 harriton 2 lower merion 3 upper darby total of 9
Thanks for the heads up, Kevin.
My Mistake, on what I posted as Rob Murphy’s 9 TD’s. His rushing total is actually 8 TDs and 1 passing TD. Sorry for the mistake!
Kevin
No problem.
Everton Sophmore #14 for the BUCS would be listed as #1 reciever if you are going by total yards. Sophmore’s get no respect. Just kidding
No, that’s totally my bad. I forgot to reshuffle the order.
Young for penncrest should have 11 rec. for 267 yds through week 4. The reporters got some names mixed up the previous weeks.
i mean 15 rec.
Thank you, Richard. I will make the fixes.
INTERCEPTIONS Borchert (RID) 2
SHOULD BE Savoy (ridley) 2 number mix up
Ah, right. I remember hearing about that mix up. Thanks.
Just looking (not bashing) but you have Strain (EA) with 11 Receptions and 25 TD’s…flip flop?
Either that, or he’s an impossibly good receiver.
Thanks for the heads up.
good to see some sun valley players near the top
#2 passer is missing his school. Sun Valley
Interboro…Nick Rentos is #2
Thornton(Hav) now has 3int’s, He got his 3rd interception last week against Marple Newtown
young for penncrest should have 21 rec. Trusty should have 22
Rashon Fentress has 336 for 3 tds
Fentress is now added to the list. Thanks.
Crowley for Ridley has 6 TD’s and 3 Interceptions. He got his 3rd Interception last Friday against Lower Merion and had 3 TD’s in that game as well.
Fixed. Thanks.
When will we see week 8 stats. I know your busy
Yeah, I’ve been busy with non-work stuff and a little under the weather these last two days. Promise I’ll have individual leaders up at some point today.
Watch out for #2 for AP., in the playoffs!!!!!!!!!!!! Let,s GO ACADEMY PARK.!!!!!!!
What about the rest of the players or don’t they count? Any team should be able to stop 1 person!
Any team but the bucs
Yeah, but it took all that AP had to command that win. Not one player, besides the way the Buc’s played that night Lanier should have had 200 plus yards.
Where is the QB from UD?
He didn’t make the cut this week. His pass efficiency rating is too low.
the sun valley stats were not in the paper sunday for the rustin game. Does the daily times have them? my brother is the qb at sv and for recruitment purposes hes gonna need his 200+ 3 td’s vs rustin in the updated stats this week. please email me for the offical stats from the game. i filmed the entire game. thanks matt
Haverford High is actually averaging 38.3 points a game
CRN: 23
Ridley: 15
Pcrest: 53
Radnor: 42
Marple:28
Octorara:49
Harriton: 59
SH: 42
Conestoga: 34
Total = 345 points / 9 games =38.33 ppg
Just noticed the stats were only through week 6. My apologies. Blame Hurricane Sandy for keeping me awake.
Matt, when will last week’s stat’s get posted. is there a chance they will go up early this week, seeing that it is the last regular season game. My son was asking me how many yards he needs to take 1st in the recieving stats and I could only ball-park it for him.
I’m hoping by tonight. I’m getting there. Takes some time, that is all, and it didn’t help that Sandy left me without power for a few hours the other night!
Alright, I’ll keep my eye out. By the way my son is sophmore Mark Everton on the BUC’s, he has been holding steady (#3 -#4) in the county recieving stats. With such a close yardage difference between #1 and #3 he feel with a great game this week against AP he could top out. I wish him luck. But, your stats could help me give him a more accurate picture of the kind of game he would need to top out. Thanks for all of your hard work during the regular season.
wr hunter is missing his td totals
hey matt here is my HL of the Sun Valley Rustin game in HD. 14 is a gun slinger
The stats for the Springfield vs Marple game on November 2 that are listed in the paper for Murphy are incorrect. They should be first quarter rushing Td for 35 yds not 22 yds and the 3rd quarter Td was run by Murphy on a 6 yd carry. His total yds for the game is 166 yds not 147 yds and 2 Tds. Thank you,
i think shawn green has made a huge impact on the ap d line. along with those great players on that defense
The whole team of Ap is good, #2 for AP is part of the team, I said watch out for #2 in the playoff because jerry lanier, dont get the respect he work so hard for to be consider not only one of the best back in the county, but one of the best back in out there big buc thats all
I seen ya son play at the little leauge level Darby Township right? and I knew then he was a talent My bro played for Ridley Township we had some good games against yall at the Sr level lol.
My bad, Jerry. Just read it wrong I guess. Good Luck in playoffs
Matt Smith, Jabree Savoy had a pic against pencrest you know the one that went for a 95 yard td just dident know if the stats were updated lol.
Rob Murphy should have 1 more td, the paper had it given to durham on friday, the 6 yarder
OK, thank you!
So, should he also have one more carry for 6 yards? Or only the TD?
Yes, one more carry for 6 yards and a td, and as Kevin said above has first touchdown was put down as 22 and it was 35 also, but I’m not sure if that was fixed already
I will update accordingly. Thanks.
TO ALL THE TEAMS,THAT MADE IT TO THE PLAYOFF,S GOOD LUCK, THIS IS THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR.
Where is Dempsey and Leyden for recipitions?
Is there another tightend on the list of receivers . Other then Rashon Fentress
Nope. Only Fentress.
What recognitions do sophmores starting varsity get re: delco recogognition etc…….if any?
The same recognition as everyone else, Buc.
Ross Binder of Marple Newtown had 3 INT’s this season
young for penncrest should have one more catch for 36 yds
OK, thanks.
Street has 3 interceptions he threw one in the playoff game against UM
how many receiving tds and yards does chandler from sv have?
griffin has 11 rushing tds chandler has 9 rushing and 6 receiving. i just went through all my films of the season
for SV
Thanks, I will update.
Coach Grugan Deserves a bunch of credit at the same time
Imagine if Street or Rentos threw 230 times they have 15 less attempts then Mancini and 15 more completions not to mention the they have 15 less attempts and 200 more yards therefore he should not be considered an all delco qb, if anything it should be between the two DELVAL qb’s , strouss and durkin, dont get me wrong he’s a good athlete from what the papers say but not on the same level as them 4 yet
Two interboro kids in the top 5 for receiving …gotta love it GO BUCS!!!!
Corkery GV has 4 interceptions. He did not throw one against Ridley.
to sv’s qb credit many drops this season. hes only a junior and did a nice job turning the program around after the 2011 season being 0-12. he did not play in 2011 was a different qb. Not impressed with street but rentos is a nice player. why isnt he on the same level as street or rentos? just curious. . what do yiou guys think of the 10th grade RB chandler from sv. he had 16 total tds 9 rushing 6 Receiving?
Chandler 10th grader 101 carries 877 yards 9 td’s 8.6 ypc. impressive to say the least.about 400 yards receiving 6td’s. I think he should get a look at all purpose honers
SV is not represented at the coaches meetings for some reason so i wouldnt expect any of their players on anything. Shame for the players. Durkin or Strouss, either or for player of the year
Chandler, Griffin and Mancini all have had fine years. I plan on attending practice early next week to talk to some of those guys for our Thanksgiving Day preview.
@91Eagles … I hope to change that next year. I will have someone fro the Delco Football Coaches Association speak with Coach Grugan. I don’t blame Coach Grugan for not attending. I told him about it last year, but I should have reminded him a few times. I hope we have a SV presence at the meetings next year.
what were streets stats like from his junior year?
Neither Street Rentos Strouss or Durkin inherited a 0-12 team either to be fair to SV’s QB
here. check out 10th grader # 22 From SV HL vs unionville
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCbG0ny60uo&w=560&h=315%5D
sun valley played 3 temas over 500 this year and thats right.. they lost all of them all of there wins came from 3-7 teams.. street rentos durkin and strouss( almost everyteam they played were over 500) its not like sunvalley had a tough schedule .
after being 0-12 the year before vs the sames teams 7-5 is a good improvment. Sv’s Qb’s best games were vs 2 playoff teams rustin and unionville total 6 td passes 1 int not bad. there D is the issue. they can score with anybody but struggle stopping teams
Sun Valley should return home to the Del Val League. Much more in common with their neighbors. What’s the community out there thinking? What you were lookng for hasn’t materialized. You can meet those teams in the playoffs, like Interboro is doing, if that competition is so important to you. Also lots of room for a non-league schedule against them. Enlighten us, if you see it differently.
Thanks.
Buc Alum agree with you. time for them to come back home
del val does not offer enough sports for sv. most of them schools lack the girl sports. hopefully sv can go to del val for just football and stay in ches mont for other sports
Sun Valley vs Chichester turkeybowl 2012 HL
will these stats be updated? week 12?
chandler from sv is missing from the Receiving
Jim, do you have his totals with you? Something might have been missed along the way.
coach grugan has them. i would have to go through all my game films but its over 450 yards and 7td. i’ll get to work on this and have them for you by monday. i seen fisher from sv made honerable mention for d line. he only played 2 games this year and was at lb. should be mcgarvey or downs for d line. fisher will be on the all delco in 2013 for lb
his totals are about the same as hunters from sv if not more
Why aren’t Upper Darby’s WRs listed? Pendergrass has 25-486 3td 1 rush td and Venditti has 29-390 6 tds.
They’ve been added. Thanks.
great job Matt with everything this season. you do great work for these local kids and their schools. excited for 2013. Delco Times best paper in southeast PA.
Chris Rossiter for upper darby has 3 Int on the season (one against Pennwood, two against Haverford)
Just heads up Hannibal Mathis from The Haverford School had 3 interceptions this season. I am sure it was an oversight. Hopefully you guys can correct that. Thanks………
Is there one more final update of 2012 stats? Like last year 2011, with team leaders, off leaders, def leaders, team misc, kicking, etc….
Will there be another update of 2012 stats? broken up into categories with each high school listed like last years blog?
Sorry for the delay. Yes, going to have team leaders up soon. I promise! Just trying to find some down time at work, which is easier said than done. I hope by mid-February.
i promote the entire team or i would not film and post each game video everyweek. haters gonna hate
