Shane Dougherty, arguably the top linebacker in Delaware County this past season, informed Ridley coach Dennis Decker Monday that he is going to Kutztown University.

UPDATE 10 p.m. Tuesday: All-Delco offensive lineman and Ridley mate Matt Sinex will join Dougherty at KU, the Daily Times learned late Tuesday.

The two-time All-Delco was the best player on a defense that ranked among the top in points allowed and total yards allowed in the county.

Dougherty led the Green Raiders to an undefeated regular season capped off with a Central League championship.
