Marple Newtown defensive end Corey Power was recently recognized as the Pete Massaro MVP Award winner was the team’s year-end banquet.
Power recently committed to University of Penn. In 2012, he finished with 93 total tackles, which was the second on the team since 2003, according to the team’s website.
Power was second team All-Delco and All-Central (both offense and defense) and earned a PIAA Class AAA Honorable Mention nod.
Here’s a photo from the football banquet of Power, left, with coach Ray Gionta and All-Delco Pete Massaro, who enjoyed a solid career at Penn State. Massaro was a two-time NCAA Academic All-American.

Congrats to Power. Looking forward to watching him at Penn.
And Matt, it’s University of Pennsylvania, or just Penn. Never heard the term “Penn University” – and I’m a Penn alum – so that’s why I’m being a nudge and correcting you ;-P
Dumb mistake. I know “Penn University” doesn’t exist.
