Coming in Wednesday’s Delco Times …

In my latest Football Notebook:

  • A look at the District One playoff picture and where every contender stands entering Week 9.
  • The Haverford School kicker Aron Morgan made county history last week
  • Garnet Valley and Penncrest have more in common than you might think.
  • What does Episcopal Academy have in store for Malvern Prep this Friday?
  • And, as always, the weekly Super 7.

  1. Morgan is probably the best kicker in Delco unless I’m missing somebody. Hit a 40 yarder as a freshman with no time on the clock for Haverford School’s first victory over Malvern in 18 years back in ’09.

Curious what the county history he just made is.

    • Tied for the longest FG, done only twice before (2004 and 1988).

I was at this game. Afterward, when I went over to interview him, he had nothing to say. He was pretty stunned.

  2. What is the time frame for the next posting? I am eager to see the criticism again (no offense Matt) I saw it in the paper and nothing surprised me.

I need something post dinner to see what DELCO football fans “KNOW”

    • Although Malvern may have a few more opportunities both offensively and defensively with the loss of Russell (EA’s starting FB/LB); EA has a team full of impact players and are so well balanced that they SHOULD come out with the W and control the game.
