Springfield’s Mike Dougherty was named Central League MVP at Linebacker (positional honor) at Monday night’s Delaware County Coaches Association meeting. Another player was mistakenly listed as the MVP in Tuesday’s edition of the Daily Times.
Dougherty deserves the recognition as he had a fine game leading the Cougars on both sides of the ball.
Great game on a good team for the Soringfield kid, six touchdowns( four rushing, two passing) for the Haverford QB. Good choice either way……
Dougherty must of had a whale of a game because Durkin’s numbers were great.
This was for positional MVP. Durkin was voted OVERALL league MVP (as reported in Tuesday’s paper).
i cant wait for ridleys doc44 to get his cast off … looks like fri its the battle of the doughertys at MLB
